Coast 2 Coast, Life With The Motorcycle Our guest this week, Shilpa Balakrishnan, will be on live from her home half a world away in Mumbai, India. Since leaving a corporate desk job, Shilpa has dedicated herself to motorcycling and has done numerous rides like a when she rode across 29 states and 5 union territories of India in 2016, an international trip with three other women covering 17,000 km in 56 days taking them through India, Bhutan, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia …and Thailand in 2017, and the ride she is most known for, a solo trip in 2018 on which she became not only the fastest motorcycle rider to touch all 4-corners of India (in 29 days) but also the first woman to do so. Shilpa also has a series of podcast interviews with powerful women motorcyclists in India, teaches women how to ride, and is now running her own motorcycle tour company.
